The photograph was taken in Galisteo, New Mexico. Belcher had wanted to photograph the movie set for the 1985 Hollywood Western “Silverado” for many years but could not get access with a camera to the private ranch on which it was located (then owned by Scott and Marian Cook). He later met and became friends with the property owner and had keys and free access to the area for several years (the property is now owned by Tom Ford).
