DescriptionA toy VW van pulling a toy trailer. The van is bedazzled in gold beads and glitter on the roof and red beads along the body. The trailer is bedazzled with silver beads on the body and blue beads on the door.eMuseum Notes
Much like her husband Paul’s photorealist paintings and her son Peter’s video works Carol Sarkisian’s artwork transforms everyday objects. The application of gold and silver leaf, glass beads and rhinestones alter this found object into something magical and indulgent with a character that far exceeds its diminutive scale.
