eMuseum Notes

Text engraved on the individual triangles on the interior wheel reads as: poverty plenty / hop despair / age growth / stasis change / stranger friend / known mystery / love fear / choice fate.

Text engraved on the curved handles reads as: The perception of the abundance of time in my life seemed to have passed. My youth was gone and along with it, innocence. Gone was recklessness. In its place was calculated risk taking, much of which was greater than what I could have imagined earlier in my life. Scarred by love and loss, I had fortified myself and was now feeling discontented and unfulfilled. All the chances I had taken had only been in one area of my life in art. Yet this [illegible] only midway in a place and a time in which I could see as clearly backward as forward. I left the spinning wheel of clearly [illegible] fortune behind me, walking through the litter of the celebrants to my truck. With the dying light of day and Death looking ever my left she [illegible] I returned to the highway, driving northward to my wanting life.

Text engraved on sides reads as: I spent the weekend at my parents celebrating their fiftieth wedding anniversary everyone from my ninety three year old grandmother to my three year old niece was present. Driving north to my home in the late afternoon on the four lane interstate through the desert I reflected on the family and my place I then realized that I was midway in the family and life. As the sun set I saw the lights from a up ahead to my right. A village was celebrating a fiesta. I pulled off at the next past it there were old crumbling adobe houses nearly abandoned.
