DescriptionNine views of similar red-roofed motel cabins in landscape; 9 printed images: 7 printed on one side of two pieces of paper (taped together below 5th image) folded accordion-style; additional piece of paper attached with string (formerly used for hanging the piece) with inscription, partial image with cut-out tab and another image with cut-out slit in which to insert flat, like a folding book of commercial postcards.eMuseum Notes
Made when Hahn was a visiting artist at Franconia College in New Hampshire, this set of pictures is constructed to mimic a package of commercial tourist postcards. Instead of focusing on beauty of the White Mountains or some aspect of small-town charm, the artist gives us a series of similar views of motel structures in the landscape.
