Adhesives used are Krylon Make-it Acid Free Spray on paper and Weldbond Universal Adhesive on objects.
Dana Newmann is a visual hunter/gatherer who acquires a wide variety of found objects that are then put in dialogue with each other through collage and assemblage. This fan is one of a pair, also in the collection, that draws on the artist’s interest in Japanese culture, making use of 1940s Japanese fans and woodblock prints.
