eMuseum Notes
Bloomfield’s photograph centers on the Rio Grande, a silvery thread of river that cuts through the treacherous, rocky terrain near Taos, New Mexico, and cleaves her composition nearly in half. Using the line of the water  almost like a tear in the paper, the artist emphasizes the untamed, ancient powers of nature.
