DescriptionLarge expanse of blue sky with orange-tinted clouds along bottom of composition. Text with white letters at top reads: I think there is just too much negative space in all that sky. I would crop most of it out. Make it a panel. Text with white letters at bottom reads: The composition is weak and there is just too much negative space on the top. Also the colors, they look pretty washed up to me too. I think they would need a tweak in there and maybe some more contrast wouldn’t hurt.
eMuseum Notes
In this engaging piece, Rosenblum uses the popular subject of clouds to comment on art making, the role of the audience, and the history of photography. After taking pictures of clouds in a straightforward manner, the artist then posts them on social media sites where random viewers can comment on them. The artist chooses some of these comments and incorporates them  into the final image. “I start a conversation with my photographs and anyone may join in the dialog,” she says about this series, which also refers back to a series of cloud photographs by Alfred Stieglitz that he titled “Equivalents” (early 1920s to early 1930s).
