The object was removed from frame for storage purposes. Upon removal from the frame, it was discovered that the matting was acidic. It was then decided to remove the object from the mat as well. The frame was supposed to be kept as a prop frame but it was decided by the Preparator that it should be disposed of. Both the frame and the acidic mats were thrown away.
