A group of six monotypes by Forest Moses were found in collections during 2007. These objects had no accession number, file or the proof of ownership paperwork to indicate that they were part of the permanent collection. In March 2015, the deed of gift and other transfer of title paperwork were discovered in an unrelated file. The monotypes finally received their original accession numbers (1998.8.1a-f) and the corresponding computer records were updated. Once the records were updated, the FIC record that existed for each of the monotypes was then deleted from TMS. The FIC numbers that were assigned to these pieces in 2007 are FIC69-74.2007.

The monotype was framed when it was received by the museum. At the time of updating the pieces from FIC's to permanent collection works, it was discovered that the monotype had slipped from the hinges and was floating loose inside the frame. It was decided at that time to remove the works from the frame for safety reasons. The frame that the monotype was in was not kept by Collections and was disposed of on 3/11/15.
