When the original cardboard backing was removed, two wooden stretcher keys were found floating loose and lying on the back of the canvas support. They had detached from the stretcher bars at some unknown point. The keys were removed to prevent damage to the piece. The two keys can be found in the Accession file. The keys should be reattached to the stretcher by a conservator.

The original cardboard backing was removed from the piece at the time the condition report was completed. The backing had a label affixed to it, which was removed from the board prior to its disposal. The gallery label can be found in the Accession file.
