Historical text from the accompanying booklet reads as: La Revolución Mexicana tuvo la gran virtud de devolver al pueblo la soberanía de sus derechos. En la época de Porfirio Díaz, la soberanía fue negada al pueblo. El movimiento social iniciado en 1910 rescató para los ciudadanos sus derechos usurpados durante más de treinta años de dictadura porfirista, a través de los cuales no hubo derechos políticos, ni de ninguna especie. Translation: The Mexican Revolution had the virtue of restoring sovereignty to the people. In the days of Porfirio Díaz autonomy was denied. The social movement that began in 1910 restored the citizens' rights that were usurped for more than thirty years by the Porfiriato dictatorship during which there were no political rights, or freedoms of any kind.
