Historical text from the accompanying booklet reads as: Alentado por los intereses capitalistas extranjeros, Saturnino Cedillo se levantó en armas en 1938 y se internó con unos cuantos hombres en la sierra potosina. Cárdenas recibió la adhesión unánime del pueblo, de las instituciones y del Ejército y en poco tiempo fueron sometidos al orden los rebeldes cedillistas. El cabecilla de la frustrada rebelión murió en un encuentro contra las fuerzas federales. Alberto Morales Jimenez.
Translation: Encouraged by foreign capitalist interests Saturnino Cedillo took up arms in 1938 and hid with a few men deep in the mountains of San Luis Potosí. Cárdenas received the unanimous support of the people, institutions, and the army, and in a short time subdued the Cedillistas (rebel supporters of Cedillo). The main instigator of the failed rebellion died during an encounter with federal forces. Translated by Aída Wester, Intern 2017.
