In this intense portrait, Noggle captures not only the spirit of artist Florence Miller Pierce, known for her work with abstraction and the medium of resin, but also expresses her own agenda. Noggle was fascinated by the map of experience on human faces and wanted to show the beauty and vibrancy of older adults who are sometimes overlooked or considered irrelevant in Western culture.
