eMuseum Notes
In the midst of an extremely successful career as a commercial photographer, Todd Walker befriended the artist Robert Heinecken, founder of the photography department at the University of California, Los Angeles. Heinecken's maverick approach to photography encouraged Walker's own inclinations toward experimentation and he gave himself license to explore a wide range of approaches to composition and printmaking. He often used plant life and female nudes as subjects, incorporated text into his compositions, and was a pioneer in exploring the possibilities of digital image making.
