Per original catalog card: For many years the Museum had a similar painting (130.23P) which was attributed to Stanley. Mrs. Day called and told us that her mother had owned the original painting and that a friend had asked her if she could have a copy made. Mrs. Fiske agreed and Carl Lotave painted the copy. This copy is the picture the Museum had. Now Mrs. Fiske has presented the original Stanley to the Museum.
