According to Noggle's longtime friend and studio assistant Jim Holbrook, this picture may have been taken in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when Noggle was walking her dog Pepe.


Jim Holbrook, Noggle's longtime friend and studio assistant, noted that she had cropped the image along the right edge which is visible on the print.
The donors are Mary Pease, (1918-2004), the artist's elder sister and only sibling and her husband Chester Pease, (1914-1978).
