The subject is the artist's mother Agnes Noggle, (1890-1980), posing with the family dogs. According to Noogle's longtime friend and studio assistant Jim Holbrook, in a 12/12/2016 conversation with curator Katherine Ware, this picture was taken at Mary & Chester Pease's house in Santa Fe, at 828 Camino Ranchitos, where Agnes also lived.
