The subject of the photograph is the artist's mother Agnes Noggle, (1890-1980). The photograph was taken on the lawn of the home she shared with her daughter Mary and other members of Mary's family.


The image was made with Noggle's Panon camera.
The donors are Mary Pease, (1918-2004), the artist's elder sister and only sibling and her husband Chester Pease, (1914-1978).
