The Librarian was contacted in early 2016 about a Chinese wooden sculpture that is part the MOA collection. The object had been posted on the MOA Searchable Art Museum website where the researcher discovered it. The researcher inquired to see if there was any additional information about the object that could be passed along. The Collections Manager then provided the little information that was in the file and also inquired if the researcher could provide any information about the figure that is depicted. The researcher was able to give thorough information about the piece which was then used to update the record. This correspondence was also added to the Accession file for reference.
Please see email correspondence in the Accession file for detailed information provided by an expert in Chinese wooden sculpture.
