An acidic cardboard backing was removed from the painting and replaced with acid free foam core before the painting traveled to the Mennello Museum of American Art on loan in August 2014. The cardboard backing had a printed exhibition label affixed to it. This label was cut away from the rest of the cardboard and is now stored in the Accession file in the Registrar's office.
