DescriptionA trio of musicians performs in the dimly lit room of an adobe style building. Two middle-aged men sit on a bench against the back wall playing the accordion and fiddle. A young man with dark hair sits in a chair to the right of the other two musicians playing the guitar. The right wall of the room features a tall trastero in the background and a large painted chest in the foreground. A large Acoma style pot and a cowboy hat sit on the top of the chest.Text Entries
The original cardboard backing was removed from the painting and replaced with an archival backing board prior to going on loan for the 2016 exhibition Mabel Dodge Luhan and Company. The original backing included labels which were removed before the cardboard was destroyed. The labels are now housed in the Accession file.
