Erika Wanenmacher

American, born 1955
BiographyBorn in Ohio in 1955, Erika Wanenmacher studied art at the Kansas City Art Institute and at the Feminist Studio Workshop. She is now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and her work explores witchcraft and the metaphysical. She has exhibited at SITE Santa Fe, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Center for Contemporary Arts Santa Fe, and the New Mexico Museum of Art, among other venues. She was represented by the Linda Durham Contemporary Art Gallery for many years until the gallery’s closing in 2011. She is also a contributing artist for Meow Wolf (2022)
