Sarah Charlesworth

Sarah Charlesworth: A Retrospective, was curated by Louis Grachos and Susan Fisher and opened its two-year national tour in Santa Fe at SITE Santa Fe in 1995. Charlesworth was part of a group of artists who in the 1980s were addressing the prevalence of media images in contemporary life. In her early works Charlesworth re-photographed and collaged found images and later began to stage images in front of the camera. (Scully, 2017)
