Wendy Young
American, born 1963
In New Mexico, Young has worked for many years as an assistant to photographer Gay Block and has taught photography to college students and teenagers at the College of Santa Fe, as well as working as a darkroom manager and lab assistant. In 1998, she was voted Outstanding Senior in the Art Department at the College of Santa Fe and in 2004 she was awarded the Willard Van Dyke Award by the New Mexico Council on Photography. Locally, her work has been shown at photo-eye gallery and the Santa Fe University of Art and Design, the Albuquerque Museum, the Santa Fe Art Institute, and the Palace of the Governors. (Ware 2012)
