Klaus Moje

German, born 1936
BiographyKlaus Moje was born in Germany, where as a young man making his way in the late 1950s and 1960s, he was informed by the Bauhaus. In 1982 Moje accepted an invitation to establish a glass program at Australia’s Canberra School of Art. There, over the next decade, he shaped an internationally recognized glass curriculum—one whose focus was, under his guidance, kilnformed glass. Moje has been in Australia ever since and is largely regarded as one of the most influential glass artists in the country, having taught and large number of a younger generation of artists working in glass.
