Frederick W. Becker

Born in Vermillion, SD on March 24, 1888. Becker studied with Hugh Breckenridge and Daniel Garber at the PAFA, at the School of Art & Design and ASL in Los Angeles, and at the Macky School in San Francisco. He lived in NYC, Oklahoma City, Taos, and southern California in Palm Springs and Cathedral City. An itinerant artist, Becker traveled widely and was active in Californa from the 1920s until his death in Cathedral City on April 12, 1974.
