Text reads as: I remember your telling of how you grew up: Taking wood from old buildings which were being torn down because your family was too poor to buy coal. Fighting because you had to because you were a Jew. Going to high school at night because the family need you to work during the day. You wanted to be a lawyer, but were forced to drop your classes at Colombia and work two jobs.
