DescriptionThe illustration is of a medieval scene. The knight on the viewer's left is seen from the side. He is hatless and his hair touches the collar of the black cape he is wearing. The knight has his proper left hand on the handle of his sword which is in its scabbard. The night is looking at and walking toward the blond haired princess standing in the middle. The princess is looking at the knight. The princess is wearing black and white. The background of the knight and princesses is drapes with coats of arms. To the princess’s' right sitting on a throne is a dark haired older woman dressed in black and is looking at the knight and princess. To her right is a woman facing the princess with her back to the viewer. She is wearing a light colored dress with a veil on her head.
