DescriptionA rectangular bronze bas-relief plaque mounted on a black wooden base with felt backing. The relief is of the Madonna and child, a copy of an image by Donatello. On the left, Mary bows her head and holds her hands together, as in in prayer, and on the right, the baby Jesus is seated. Cherubs are visible in the top two corners. The piece is stored in a box from The Medallic Art Company of New York, along with some associated papers (pamphlet about Donatello's image, postal insurance slip, and card wishing a happy holidays)On View
