Allan Graham was an artist whose practice incorporated sculpture, painting, poetry, and video. In 1990, Graham began working under the pseudonym Toadhouse, which came from the name he and his son gave to an underground structure they built in Albuquerque. While working as Toadhouse, the artist produced text and number-based drawings and paintings, in addition to publishing poetry books. In this work, Graham uses the number two to create a composition that appears to represent the night sky, with constellations and stars strewn across it. Two shapes, comprised of groupings of the number, resemble UFOs streaking across the image.
