Born on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Patton employs Lakota methodologies and adornment practices to explore themes of healing, growth, and renewal. Using recycled and repurposed paper Patton sculpts with paper pulp and is encouraged by her curiosity of how paper's surface texture can provide context to her work, both physically and symbolically.
