DescriptionAltered nineteenth-century studio portrait of a boy and a girl seated on a chair together. The boy's right arm in draped on the arm of the chair and his hand is dangling. His eyes are closed and he turns his face toward the girl on his left. The girl may be deceased or has head leaning back on her shoulder to prevent movement during photographic exposure. Her left arm is hooked over the arm of the chair with a dangling fist. She has a ribbon in her hair and her dress is toned a pink color. Her legs are short so we see the bottom of her shoes. Patterned rug as backdrop.
