Tonto Bars Hank was a quarter horse, born in 1958, that raced between 1960-1962. In 1960, he was the world’s champion Quarter Horse Stallion. At one time Tonto Bars Hank held four World Records and won eleven Stakes races. The grandson of Three Bars, a member of the American Quarter Horse Association's American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame, Tonto Bars Hank was called the “greatest 2-year old of all time”. In 1960, Tonto Bars Hank won the All American Futurity at Ruidoso Downs with a time of 20.200 seconds, wining over $130,000. After retirement, Tonto Bars Hank went onto sire all around horses.
