Description
Adrienne Salinger’s photographs of people, home spaces, and household objects reveal her fascination with the lives and unsung stories of everyday people. Whether her work captures a portrait of a teenager, a stack of self-help books, or someone’s living space, it provides the viewer with a window into the esthetics and objects that represent and relay an individual’s story. In Glove B-73, the artist captures the lines and crevices of a worn baseball mitt, retired from years of use. Salinger expertly accentuates the creased surface through a black backdrop and high-contrast lighting, creating a powerful image with elevates the mitt and its unknown story.
