Historical text from the accompanying booklet reads as: Por órdenes de Porfirio Díaz y de los empresarios, en varios furgones de ferrocarril fueron conducidos a la costa los cadáveres de los obreros muertos por los federales, para ser arrojados al mar. Es cosa sabida por todos que un tal Garcín y los dueños de las fábricas de Rio Blanco, Veracruz, brindaron con copas de champaña por la feliz terminación de la huelga hilandera. También se hicieron brindis por la salud de Díaz. Alberto Morales Jimenez.
Translation: Porfirio Díaz and the company owners ordered the corpses of the workers killed by the federal police to be put in boxcars and taken to the coast to be thrown into the sea. It is a well-known fact that a man named Garcín and the owners of the Río Blanco factories in Veracruz toasted with champagne to the happy ending of the textile factory strike.
