eMuseum NotesWhile
in Antarctica, Myers photographed the animals she encountered who are adapted
to the extreme environment, including penguins, seals, sea lions, fish, and
star fish. This spectacular view, made with a panoramic camera, view shows
thousands of King Penguins gathered around
a freshwater pond in South Georgia. Myers’ image captures the impressive
scale and features of this landscape most of us will never visit and also clearly
demonstrates that it is not uninhabited.
