DescriptionBlack and white lithograph of impressionistic trees and roadeMuseum Notes
Prior to 1975, Andrew Dasburg had produced few prints but, through a collaboration with the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, he produced numerous prints in the last decade of his career, many of which depicted scenes near his home in Taos. Trees in Ranchitos III was likely created in the nearby area of Ranchitos. Dasburg reduced the branches and leaves to animate black forms that suggest the influence of the wind and may have prompted him to select the alternate title for the print, Baroque Trees.
