DescriptionPencil sketch of reredos inside Rosario Chapel in Santa Fe, NM, depicting an altar with a crowned Madonna figure in the center under two concentric arches. The figure in the center wears a large crown and a robe and veil which fan out in a triangle She is standing on a pedestal. The upper arch is made of carved columns and a pediment, all decorated with curling designs. Within the inner, smaller archway, a half-circle of rounded petal-like shapes surrounds the Madonna's crown. Brown adhesive residue stains the rectangular base of the work.On View
