DescriptionPlan for a detail of a proposed reredos commissioned by Julie Penrose for a chapel in Colorado Springs, CO, a design that was never executed in full. The panel has three rectangular vignettes of birds perched on branches with leaves and acorns. The left and right each have one bird and seven acorns. The center rectangle is longer and has twelve acorns and two birds. The left center bird faces to the right with its head up and mouth open, while the right center bird faces left with its head tucked to its chest. The top has a line of concentric semicircles. The bottom corners have squares with four acorns each.
