DescriptionPlan for a detail of a proposed reredos commissioned by Julie Penrose for a chapel in Colorado Springs, CO, a design that was never executed in full. Sketch of an angel with her back to the viewer, facing away and to the right. She is holding flowers in her hands. Around the image there is a border. Along the top and bottom the border alternates between flowers with four petals and acorns. Along the left side of the border there are half flowers and along the right side of the border there are leaves drawn end to end. Above and below the flower-and-acorn edges are two more bands. The top is rectangular and empty, the bottom is rectangular and has a design of repeating diagonal lines from bottom left to upper tight, curving slightly as if representing a column.
