DescriptionMountain landscape with houses at base of mountains and fields, trees throughout image, image done in monotone of brown.eMuseum Notes
Taos Mountain and the other peaks to the north of Taos provided endless inspiration for Andrew Dasburg, just as Paul Cezanne had returned to Mont Sainte-Victoire repeatedly. This drawing depicts both the mountains and the nearby valley through a series of spare marks that, when taken together, represent the farms, trees, and other distinctive features of the landscape.
