DescriptionPlan for a detail of a proposed reredos commissioned by Julie Penrose for a chapel in Colorado Springs, CO, a design that was never executed in full. A seated woman faces to the right and bends her face down to the infant she holds. She wears a long draped dress and has a braid over her right shoulder. The left and right edges have an alternating pattern of acorns and flowers. The upper edge has a design of half-flowers. On the far left is a segment of parallel diagonal lines which curve at the edges as if wrapping around a column.
