DescriptionTop section of proposed reredos commissioned by Julie Penrose for a chapel in Colorado Springs, CO, a design that was never executed in full. The scene depicts five men holding various tools. The far left man holds a musical instrument like a guitar, the man next to him holds a book, the man in the middle holds nothing but raises his left hand, the man next to him holds a paintbrush and artist's palette, and the man on the furthest right holds a tool that could be a hammer. The left, right, and bottom edges are all decorated with an alternating pattern of flowers and acorns.
