DescriptionTop section of proposed reredos commissioned by Julie Penrose for a chapel in Colorado Springs, a design that was never executed in full. The design has a crescent moon on the right, a sun ringed by five angels in the center, and a star on the right. The top edge of the piece, which has three arches, has a pattern of flowers. The stone is brown, with recessed areas of the carving painted turquoise.On View
